Recommended barbell maintenance
Lube brass bushing where the inside shaft meets the collar, twice a month. Let lube soak into collar, spin collar to allow lube to lubricate bearings. Lube end caps and internal clips, let lube soak into end of collar, wipe off excess lubricant. When cleaning barbell ensure moisture or chemicals do not soak into the collar.
Overhaul Maintenance, once every six months or more frequent depending on usage and environment. Remove end caps, internal clips, washers, and bearings. Clean and lubricate shaft, collar, washers, and bearings. Re-assemble lubricating all internal parts.
